Biography of Sybil Jane Castro

A child of a U.S. Navy mechanic stationed in Coronado and Miramar, Jane Castro has lived, worked and played in San Diego for over 30 years. After graduating from SDSU with a focus on statistical analysis, she gained valued experience assisting entrepreneurs primarily through commercial and government guaranteed small business financing. Having held credit and portfolio management approval roles, she is intimately familiar with complex analysis, essential in understanding the tangible and intangible values of a business and targeting the right parties for a sale. 

In her 20+ professional year career, Jane has held leadership positions at several expanding MSO companies requiring the sale and/or purchase of existing business assets. In these collaborative, decision-making roles she gained irreplicable direct experience with the path to closings.

Jane’s unique professional experience and genuine care for the entrepreneur have made her one of the most trusted and respected people in the small business industry. 

Seeking to continue to support entrepreneurs with “the next chapter” – be it retirement, business ownership, or expansion, while continuing to pursue her own entrepreneurial goals, she established the First Choice Business Brokers San Diego University City office in 2025.
